News: Essential Phone Drops Three Stunning New Colors [Photos]
The story of the Essential Phone isn't one for the faint of heart. The company was founded by Andy Rubin, and their first phone was supposed to have only the "essential" qualities. Unfortunately, it lacked a decent camera, and still cost as much as most flagships. Since that rough start, however, things have taken a turn for the better. Now, Eseential's doubling down with a new set of colorways for the PH-1.Though Essential has only sold around 90,000 phones in six months, they're looking to change their luck with three limited edition colors. This, when combined with a significant price drop and recent software updates that have improved performance and camera quality, make the Essential Phone a device worth considering again. Image via Essential The new colors are Ocean Depths, Stellar Gray, and Copper Black. We're mostly partial to the Ocean Depths, a seafoam-y green that will be sure to turn heads. Hopefully these new colors will change the luck of Essential, who could really use a win. Ocean Depths.
